St Leo University is one of the oldest Universities in Central Florida. With a history and tradition of more than a Century welcomes students of all faiths from around the world. Currently there are students in the university representing more than 60 countries and 40 regional locations amounting to more than 2200 students on campus. The Liberal – arts campus is located 30 miles north of Tampa, is spread over a 259 acres lush green land which also houses Lake Jovita, making it a perfect place for having a university campus set up.
The student exchange provides the opportunity for the students to travel and explore foreign countries and experience the local practices and cultures. This also provides an experience for the students to learn in a foreign setting from the faculties / experts there.

The students are initially given a strong theoretical foundation in the class rooms. Each classroom has a small class strength which increases the amount of individual attention to each student, making the bonding between the students and faculty even stronger. Post the theoretical session in the classroom, the students are given real-time case studies and assignment that have to be carried out on a real time scenario.
There are 70+ clubs that the students can enroll into and participate in the activities that they are interested and excel in the same.
Take a 10 minute drive North of the university to Dade City, a small town and enjoy and witness the classical architecture which sets the background for the antique and vintage shops, boutiques, salons and many other shopping attractions. Also visit the City Market Bistro for a delicious brunch, Kafe Kokopelli, known for its ambience and visit the Live music event (1st Thursday of the month.)
A 20 minute drive South of the University will lead you to “Shops at Wiregrass” where in you have a variety of shops from departmental stores to a 2 storey Barnes & Noble and shops from other notable brands. There are a variety of restaurants from different cuisines available there. If you are one who is looking at nightlife, you can also enjoy the latenight foods and beverages offered there.
An opportunity to visit to Tampa is just a 45 minute drive away from the university South wards. Grab the opportunity for internships & professional opportunities in one of the U.S’s largest metropolitan areas. Also, Sunset over the Bay is not to be missed. Visit Busch gardens theme park and enjoy the Historic Ybor City’s all night tastes, sights and sounds. Also pay a visit to International Plaza.
The other notable attractions that can be visited are just an hour’s drive from the university, which include: Walt Disney World, Seaworld, Universal Studios, Saint Pete Beaches, Jet skiing, parasailing and many more adventure activities.
